Over the past week, there have been 11,739 new Covid-19 cases in New Zealand. As of Sunday, there were 247 people in hospital with the virus and six people in an intensive care unit. Sixty-six people have died from the virus, with the youngest being in their 20s and the oldest being over 90 years old. Canterbury had the highest number of deaths at 13, with Auckland and the Southern District following at 11 and 10, respectively. The total number of deaths attributed to Covid-19 is 2850.
