Week 22 May - 28 May 2023
Over the past week, New Zealand has reported 14,371 new cases of Covid-19, a slight decrease compared to the previous week. As of Sunday, there were 248 people hospitalized with the virus, and eight were in intensive care. Additionally, 36 more people have died from the virus, with the majority being elderly individuals. The total number of confirmed Covid-19 deaths in New Zealand now stands at 2,942.
