In less than ten days, the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023โ„ข will begin at Eden Park in New Zealand. It’s a big event that will attract billions of football fans from around the world. Tourism New Zealand has created special content to show the beauty of New Zealand to these fans.

This World Cup is the ninth edition of the tournament for women’s national teams. It happens every four years and is organized by FIFA. What makes this tournament unique is that it will be hosted by both Australia and New Zealand, with matches taking place from 20 July to 20 August 2023. It will be the first time that more than one country hosts the Women’s World Cup, and the first time it spans multiple confederations.

The opening match will be between New Zealand and Norway at Eden Park on 20 July 2023. The final match will be held on 20 August 2023 at Sydney Olympic Stadium in Australia. The United States is the defending champion, having won the previous two tournaments in 2015 and 2019.
