New Zealand Police have arrested 24 individuals and confiscated illegal drugs and firearms in two lengthy investigations aimed at disrupting a Class A drug supply network connecting Auckland and Christchurch. The arrests include individuals facing serious charges such as drug dealing, firearm possession, and money laundering. The operations have considerably disrupted the activities of organized crime groups involved in the drug distribution network. Seizures include 5 kg of methamphetamine, 3.5 kg of cocaine, firearms, stolen vehicles, jewelry, and cash. The investigations, known as Operation Italian Sky and Operation Sumatra, have contributed to making communities safer by removing these harmful substances from the streets.
