New Zealand’s Health Minister, Dr. Shane Reti, announced the extension of free Covid-19 rapid antigen tests (RATs) until June 30. Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora will receive an additional five million RATs for public and health sector distribution. This decision, funded from existing Covid-19 budgets, comes as current RAT stock is set to expire by the end of March. The extension aims to maintain ample test supplies as the country approaches winter.
