Starting from May 31, 2023, changes to the Partner of a Worker Work Visa have been confirmed. Partners of Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) and Essential Skills Work Visa (ESWV) holders may have new work conditions. They can only work for an Accredited Employer, cannot work in certain roles, and must meet specific wage requirements. However, some partners of highly paid workers or those on the Green List are exempt from these conditions. The changes do not affect current visa holders or partners of New Zealanders or other work visa holders. Partners of temporary workers have other visa options available.
