Hospitalization rates include 336 cases, with five in intensive care. The seven-day rolling average stands at 999 new cases per day. Simultaneously, Medsafe is reviewing updated versions of the Pfizer and Novovax vaccines designed to address the XBB 1.5 strain of Omicron. Boosters are currently available for those over 30 and individuals over 16 at higher risk, six months post their last booster or Covid-19 infection.
