Sri Lankan cricketer Dasun Shanaka replaces injured Kane Williamson in IPL team.

Dasun Shanaka has been selected as a replacement for the injured Kane Williamson in the Gujarat Titans team for the remainder of IPL 2023. Shanaka is the Sri Lankan captain who has played in 40 T20 cricket games, scoring 557 runs and claiming 14 wickets. He made his name as a death-over hitter, scoring at 195 across 123 balls in 2022, the second-highest in the world. Despite being overlooked at the IPL auction, Shanaka has since been signed up as an injury replacement and has already impressed in his first five games.
