New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, who suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the opening game of IPL 2023, may still travel to India for the ODI World Cup as a mentor, with the team management considering the possibility. However, New Zealand head coach Gary Stead has not ruled out Williamson’s participation as a player just yet. Williamson is currently undergoing rehabilitation, and his knee is still in a brace. The ODI World Cup is set to take place from October 5 to November 19 in 12 Indian cities, but the official schedule is yet to be released.
