The number of tourists visiting Sri Lanka this year has increased rapidly, surpassing 400,000. In April 2022, 62,980 tourists arrived, while in April 2023, 105,498 tourists arrived, representing a 67.5% growth. In April, the largest number of tourists came from India, with 19,915 visitors. Russia and the United Kingdom followed, with 14,656 and 8,743 tourists, respectively. Germany, France, China, Australia, the United States, Canada, and Japan also sent many visitors, while 29,563 tourists came from other countries.
