Nestlรฉ Lanka is to become the 107th public entity to delist from the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) following the company’s announcement to go private after 40 years as a publicly listed firm. Nestlรฉ Lanka’s parent company, Nestlรฉ S.A., will purchase shares at Rs.1,500 per share from shareholders who wish to divest. Nestlรฉ S.A. currently owns 91.95% of Nestlรฉ Lanka’s shares. Prior to the delisting announcement, Nestlรฉ Lanka was one of the top 15 largest public companies listed in CSE, with a market cap of over Rs.60bn.
