Eden Park has revealed plans for a major development which includes a retractable roof and new stands. The North Stand will be replaced and the East and West stands upgraded. The park trust promises “an all-weather retractable roof which guarantees play and broadcast in any weather conditions” as well as multiple fields of play options, new entertainment spaces and amenities. However, no cost or timeframe for the development or details of funding have been announced yet. Eden Park has also hosted major music concerts alongside sport.
