IKEA, the popular furniture retailer, is set to open its first store in New Zealand at Auckland’s Sylvia Park in late 2025. The store will cover an area of approximately 34,000m2 across three floors and will include a restaurant and bistro serving IKEA’s famous meatballs and hot dogs. It will have features such as solar panels, EV chargers, and LED lighting. Online shopping will also be available. The store is expected to be connected to the rest of the Sylvia Park precinct and will provide a range of home furnishing solutions. The New Zealand operation of IKEA is managed by Ingka Group.
