Auckland Airport experienced disruptions this morning due to heavy fog, resulting in the cancellation of at least two dozen flights. The airport canceled ten domestic regional flights, with one additional flight delayed. However, flights to Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Queenstown were unaffected by the fog. International flights remained operational. Air New Zealand reported 26 canceled flights, mostly regional, and advised passengers to expect delays across the regional network. Although the fog restriction was lifted at 7 am, more than 50 cancellations and delays were listed on the airport’s website. Passengers are urged to check the airport’s website for up-to-date flight information.
