New Zealand has reported 14,242 new cases of Covid-19 over the past week, with the number of weekly cases hovering around the 12,000 mark in recent weeks. There are currently 363 people in hospital with the virus and 32 more people have died. Epidemiologist Michael Baker has said that New Zealand is experiencing its fourth wave of Covid-19 infections, with numbers having reached a low point in February before tracking up again.
