New Zealand reports 12,383 new COVID-19 cases and 44 deaths in the past week.

Seven people have been arrested, including members of the Killer Beez gang, after the police seized 265 kilograms of methamphetamine in a joint operation with customs named Operation Papyrus. The shipment was intercepted in the United States in February, and the arrests were made across Auckland on 18/04. The operation has been investigating the importation of methamphetamine and cocaine for a year. The group found insiders within the transport and logistics sector who were working with members of the Killer Beez gang to facilitate drug imports. The arrests included five men and two women. If sold on the street, the seized methamphetamine could be worth approximately $91 million, according to Customs NZ manager of investigations
