Over the past week in New Zealand, there have been 12,383 new cases of Covid-19, with 292 people currently in hospital and nine in intensive care or high dependency units. There were 44 new deaths, with 11 of them in the Auckland region, bringing the total number of Covid-related deaths in New Zealand to 2,736.
