New Zealand’s incoming National coalition government, led by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, has revealed an unprecedented three-party alliance. The coalition includes National, ACT, and New Zealand First. Winston Peters from New Zealand First will serve as deputy prime minister until May 31, 2025, followed by David Seymour of ACT for the remaining term. Notably, National’s proposed foreign buyer tax has been dropped, with funding adjustments for tax cuts. The coalition aims to manage a strong economy, reduce the cost of living, restore law and order, and improve public services. Key policies include tax relief, law reform, and educational enhancements.
